On June 22, a new European law (Regulation (EU) 2022/860) came into force, which requires red yeast rice food supplements to contain less than 3 mg of monacolin per daily dose. To comply with this new regulation, we have reformulated the product, which now contains, per tablet: - 2.9 mg of monacolin K. Monacolins are obtained by fermenting rice with the red yeast Monascus purpureus. This has been used in China and other Asian countries for centuries as a traditional medicine. - We have also added 10 mg of coenzyme Q10 to counteract the interference of monacolins with CoQ10 levels in the body. - And 4 mg of vitamin B3. To compensate for this reduction in dosage, we have tripled the number of tablets per pack, which is now 540 instead of 180. Our red yeast rice tablets have been tested by an accredited laboratory. We carry out regular analyses in independent accredited laboratories to guarantee the highest quality of the product.
