Swanson ® Flaxseed Oil is a dietary supplement in the form of capsules containing organic flaxseed oil. Each softgel capsule contains 1 g of oil, which is a natural source of omega-3-6-9 acids, suitable for use as a supplement to the daily diet of adults. Linseed oil - properties Flax seeds, i.e. linseed ( Linum usitatissimum L.), are prized oilseeds that yield non-GMO oil with an excellent fat profile. The raw material used to produce the Swanson ® brand contains, among others: alpha-linolenic acid (ALA), an omega-3 fatty acid, as well as linoleic acid (LA), i.e. omega-6 and oleic acid (omega-9) in proportions appropriate. Alpha-linolenic acid (ALA) helps maintain normal blood cholesterol levels. The beneficial effect occurs when 2 g of ALA is consumed per day. A similar effect is demonstrated by linoleic acid (LA) consumed at 10 g per day from all sources in a properly selected diet. Each packet of Swanson ® 1000 mg Flaxseed Oil contains 100 gel capsules, which will allow for up to 25 days of daily supplementation.
