Swanson® Cayenne is a herbal dietary supplement containing cayenne pepper ( Capsicum annum ). For the production of the preparation, vegetable raw material with a clarity of 40,000 SHU* was used. The abbreviation SHU ( Scoville Hotness Unit ) is a measure of Scoville hotness, i.e. the spiciness of a given dish, mainly used for peppers. The SHU determines the capsaicin content of the pepper. Capsaicin is a substance that causes a sensation of clarity in the product. Each Swanson ® Cayenne Gelatin capsule contains 450 mg of cayenne pepper fruit to be used as a supplement to a properly balanced diet. A pack of up to 300 pieces will allow for long-term, herbal supplementation.
