Three classes of components are associated in the STIMULFOS Pet line: beta-glucans, phospholipids and B vitamins (B1, B2, B6, B12, PP and calcium pantothenate). Beta-glucans belong to a class of biologically active natural compounds, known as BRMs (Biological Response Modifiers), which can have a positive impact on the effectiveness of an animals immune system. Their origin (which can be vegetable, bacterial, yeast or fungal, with significant qualitative and quantitative differences in terms of activity) and their chemical-physical characteristics (solubility, structure, molecular weight and number of branches) are of great importance for their activity. Macrogard Biorigin beta-1,3/1,6 glucans are polysaccharides extracted from the cell wall of the yeast Saccharomyces cerevisiae using a special technique that allows them to be concentrated while maintaining their biological activity. The intestine is the organ with the greatest and most pronounced immune activity: after oral administration, beta-glucans are able to interact with specific receptors present on the immune cells of the intestinal mucosa, determining and modulating the production of cytokines, increasing leukocyte activity (phagocytic activity) and stimulating the production of antibodies. The STIMULFOS Pet line contains a specific source of phospholipids rich in phosphatidic acid, derived from soy, characterized by high bioavailability and purity and obtained by natural enzymatic methods, without the use of chemical extraction methods. Phosphatidic acid is the simplest membrane phospholipid and is also the essential intermediate for the synthesis of all other more specific phospholipids (phosphatidylcholine, phosphatidylserine, phosphatidylethanolamine and phosphatidylinositol), key constituents of cell membranes. As a membrane component, phosphatidic acid represents 1-4% of the total cellular phospholipids. Also of significant importance, discovered only in the last 10 years, is the activity of phosphatidic acid as a lipid mediator at the cellular level; as such, it mediates and regulates several fundamental biochemical processes involved in cellular vitality, growth and proliferation, as well as in reactions to endogenous hormones and organic and physiological stresses of all types. The phosphorus content per tablet, due to phosphatidic acid (0.5 mg/10 kg body weight), is negligible even compared to the minimum dietary intake of a specific diet for chronic kidney disease (300 mg/10 kg body weight). These vitamins are combined in STIMULFOS Pet Line to stimulate cellular metabolism and compensate for deficiencies or increased needs in situations of metabolic stress, maintaining the integrity and efficiency of all coenzyme systems that use these vitamins. Vitamin B1 has a beneficial effect on the nervous system and myocardium in situations of stress and intense muscular work. Vitamin B2 participates in biological oxidation processes, promoting normal cellular trophism.
