FIPROSMET Antiparasitic pipettes for cats and ferrets, 6 Fiprosmet pipettes, antiparasitic pipette for cats and ferrets that protects against fleas, ticks, and biting lice. Insecticidal and acaricidal solution for topical use in a box of 6 x 0.5ml pipettes. Composition: Composition per pipette: Fipronil 50 mg (S) methoprene 60 mg. Fiprosmet pipettes contain an insecticidal and acaricidal solution for topical use. Fipronil, which eliminates adult parasites (adulticidal active ingredient), and (S)-methoprene, which eliminates larval stages and eggs (ovicidal and larvicidal active ingredient). Indications for Cats: Use against flea infestations, alone or in combination with ticks and/or biting lice: Treatment of flea infestations (Ctenocephalides spp.). Insecticidal efficacy against new adult flea infestations persists for 4 weeks. Prevention of flea multiplication by inhibiting the development of eggs (ovicidal activity), larvae, and pupae (larvicidal activity) laid by adult fleas for 6 weeks after application. Also, treatment of tick infestations (Ixodes ricinus, Dermacentor variabilis, Rhipicephalus sanguineus). The product has persistent acaricidal activity against ticks for up to 2 weeks. Also as a treatment for infestations of biting lice (Felicola subrostratus). Fiprosmet antiparasitic pipettes can be used as part of a treatment strategy for the control of flea allergy dermatitis (FAD). Ferrets Use against flea infestations, alone or in combination with ticks. Elimination of fleas (Ctenocephalides spp.). Insecticidal efficacy against new infestations of adult fleas persists for 4 weeks. Prevention of flea multiplication by inhibiting the development of eggs (ovicidal activity), larvae, and pupae (larvicidal activity) laid by adult fleas. Also for the elimination of ticks (Ixodes ricinus). The product has persistent acaricidal activity against ticks for 4 weeks (based on experimental data). Contraindications: In the absence of available data, the product should not be used on puppies under 8 weeks of age and/or weighing less than 1 kg. Do not use on sick (e.g., systemic diseases, fever) or convalescent animals. Also, do not use on rabbits, as adverse reactions, which can be fatal, may occur. In the absence of studies, use of the product on non-target species is not recommended. Adverse Reactions: Among the very rare suspected adverse reactions, transient skin reactions at the application site (skin discoloration, localized hair loss, itching, redness) and generalized itching or hair loss after use have been reported. Excessive salivation, reversible nervous signs (increased sensitivity to stimulation, depression, other nervous signs), vomiting, or respiratory symptoms have also been observed after use. If the animal licks itself, a brief period of excessive salivation may be observed, primarily due to the carriers nature. Directions for Use: Spot-on solution. Cats and Ferrets Hold the pipette upright. Tap the narrow end of the pipette to ensure the contents remain inside the main body. Detach the tip. Part the fur along the animals back at the base of the neck, in front of the shoulder blades, until the skin is exposed. Place the tip of the pipette on the skin and shake several times to empty the contents completely and directly onto the skin at one point.
