Flaxseed oil Description Linseed oil is a dietary supplement based on linseed oil and vitamin E. Linseed oil promotes lipid metabolism and the integrity and functionality of cell membranes. Vitamin E helps protect cells from oxidative stress. Linseed oil is obtained by simply cold-pressing the plants seeds, without the use of solvents. The addition of vitamin E allows the product to preserve all of its organoleptic properties for a long time. It is preservative-free, GMO-free, and non-irradiated. It is particularly rich in omega-3 (linolenic acid) and omega-6 (linoleic acid) fatty acids. Mammalian cells are unable to synthesize all polyunsaturated fatty acids due to the lack of certain metabolic enzymes, which are present in fish and plants. For this reason, omega-3 and omega-6 are defined as essential fatty acids and must be obtained through food (e.g., fish, certain vegetable oils, and nuts) or through specific supplements. Omega-3s are important for treating inflammation, blood viscosity and pressure, immune function, and central nervous system function. Flaxseed oil supports cholesterol reduction, prevents fatty liver disease, reduces insulin resistance, and reduces inflammation. In cases of gout, it can help relieve sudden, severe joint pain or swelling, typical symptoms of this condition. Attention deficit hyperactive disorder (ADHD) may be linked to an omega-3 deficiency, so this oil may be a valuable aid. Omega-3 deficiency may be linked to depression, and increasing essential fatty acids in the diet of adolescents appears to help reduce aggressive behaviors typical of this age group. Omega-3s are important for brain and eye development in children and are useful for treating allergies, asthma, and various skin disorders. As a cosmetic, linseed oil has emollient and anti-inflammatory properties for skin conditions, and detangles and polishes hair. Ingredients Flaxseed oil (Linum usotatissimum L.), vitamin E.
