Cationorm Description Sterile hypotonic ophthalmic emulsion, without preservatives, with a milky appearance. Cationorm is indicated for the treatment of dry eye symptoms such as pain, itching, burning or a foreign body sensation (grain of sand or dust) in the eye. These symptoms can be caused by external factors such as air conditioning, pollution, air travel, working with computer screens, refractive surgery, use of contact lenses, etc., or by conditions such as meibomian gland dysfunction. Cationorm moisturizes, lubricates and protects the ocular surface. How to use Ophthalmic use. The dose is one drop in each eye, 1 to 4 times a day. Wash your hands. Before using the bottle for the first time, remove the safety ring from the cap by pulling on the tab. Open the bottle by gently pulling on the cap. Hold the body of the bottle between your thumb and forefinger. Avoid touching the tip of the bottle with your fingers. Tilt your head back. Open your lower eyelid slightly and look up. Bring the bottle to your eye and place the back of your hand on your forehead. Press gently to instill one drop into your eye and blink a few times. Do not touch the eye or eyelashes with the tip of the bottle. Cationorm is compatible with all types of contact lenses. In very rare cases, temporary discomfort may occur, such as eye irritation, eye pain, foreign body sensation, redness, itching, excessive tearing, burning, temporary blurred vision, inflammation or swelling of the eyelids. These symptoms are typical of dry eye syndrome associated with the patients pre-existing medical conditions.
