The Delta Forehead Collar has a repellent (anti-feeding) effect against sand flies (Phlebotomus perniciosus) and culex mosquitoes (Culex pipiens) for 5 to 6 months. It is also indicated for the prevention of tick and flea infestations for 6 to 4 months. Characteristics Repellent (anti-feeding) effect for 5 months for sand flies (Phlebotomus perniciosus). Repellent effect for 6 months against culicid mosquitoes (Culex pipiens). Prevention of: Tick infestations for 6 months. Flea infestations for 4 months. The repellent (anti-feeding) effect against Phlebotomus spp has been demonstrated, therefore, it can be considered as part of a program for the prevention of leishmaniasis and culicid mosquitoes of the Culex pipiens complex. Dogs wearing this collar should not be allowed to sleep in the same bed as their owners, especially children.
