Insulin should never exceed a temperature of 30°C, which can be problematic, especially in summer, during traffic jams, or when traveling to warm countries. Wellion FRIGO elegantly solves this problem: Even at high ambient temperatures, the insulin remains cool for several hours or even days, as the pouch utilizes the principle of evaporation. To achieve this, the inner pouch is shaken to distribute the crystals and then immersed in cold water for a maximum of 10 to 12 minutes, depending on its size. This process creates a cooling gel. It is important not to leave the inner pouch in the water for longer than specified to prevent excessive gel leakage. Should this occur, the gel can simply be wiped away. After the water bath, the inner pouch should be dried with a cloth to remove any excess water. The chilled insulin is then placed in the inner pouch. To protect the contents in a handbag or suitcase, the filled inner pouch can be placed inside the outer pocket.
