VULNAMIN GEL Hydrogel aids in healing processes. It is an invasive medical device manufactured in compliance with Directive 93/42/EEC MDD. It is intended to promote the restoration of a moist microenvironment in particularly dry wounds while also assisting in the cleansing and granulation phase of uncleansed skin lesions. It is a hydrogel used to hyperhydrate necrotic tissue and induce autolysis, simultaneously stimulating granulation of the underlying vital tissue. It therefore facilitates cleansing of the wound bed covered in necrosis, fibrin, and cellular debris, aiding the resumption of tissue repair. Unlike many astringents that cause vasoconstriction, soaps that can generally cause edema or dehydration, or alcohol-based rubs that can cause damage by removing fat from the skin, making the skin drier and more prone to cracking, Vulnamin Gel promotes the elimination of necrotic tissue and protects the integrity of the skin. Vulnamin Gel has no astringent or vasoconstrictive effect, but it promotes the lysis of necrotic tissue, promoting granulation of the underlying vital tissue. Protect with a secondary dressing. How to use After cleaning the wound, apply an even layer over the entire wound area, staying within the wound edge. The interval between dressing changes depends essentially on the condition of the wound. Dressing changes should be commensurate with wound exudation; it is recommended to change them every other day or, at most, every three days. Components Purified water; sodium hyaluronate; glycine; L-proline; L-leucine; L-lysine HCl; methyl parahydroxybenzoate; propyl parahydroxybenzoate; propylene glycol. Warnings Before applying the dressing, wash your hands thoroughly. Remove any foreign material from the wound by spraying saline solution from the inside of the wound outward. After thoroughly cleaning the area to be treated, gently dab the wound with gauze to remove excess blood. If the injury does not require further treatment, apply Vulnamin Gel after cleaning. It is contraindicated in cases of known hypersensitivity to any of the components. There are no known overdose phenomena. There are no known side effects. There are no known interactions with medications or medicinal substances. Although there are no known side effects, use during pregnancy and breastfeeding should be done only as directed by a physician. Vulnamin Gel is a well-tolerated product; occasional burning sensations may occur, due to the products hypertonicity, which contributes to its cleansing effectiveness. This sensation, however, tends to resolve spontaneously. Application of the gel may cause maceration of the periwound skin; this is harmless and resolves spontaneously by airing the area for a few minutes. The expiration date applies to unopened and properly stored product. Do not use after the expiration date. Do not sterilize. Product intended for external use. Do not use if the package is opened or damaged. Do not use in cases of known hypersensitivity to any of the components. The use of desiccants in combination with Vulnamin Gel is not recommended. In case of reactions or local signs of infection (edema, erythema, discharge, color, pain), discontinue use and consult a doctor. Carefully reseal the tube after use. Keep out of reach of children. Conservation Vulnamin Gel should be stored between 8°C and 30°C. Do not refrigerate. Store in a cool, dry place, away from moisture and heat. Format 50g tube
