This eye ointment is particularly suitable for nighttime use. Intensive protection of the eye surface Vit-A-Vision® eye ointment provides long-lasting improvement of the tear film and intensive protection of the ocular surface. Its cell-protective properties support the normal regeneration processes of the cornea and conjunctiva when these are impaired by dryness. The eye ointment contains dexpanthenol, vitamin A (a natural component of the tear film). Dexpanthenol, which is converted in the body to pantothenic acid and belongs to the B vitamins, increases the water-binding capacity, thus forming a protective film on the ocular surface. Vitamin A supports eye lubrication. Vit-A-Vision® is phosphate-free and contains no preservatives. Once opened, the eye ointment can be used for 3 months. DRY EYES Dry eye syndrome (sicca syndrome) can be caused by various conditions such as Sjögrens syndrome or diabetes. Certain medications can also negatively affect the tear film. Vit-A-Vision® helps ensure adequate lubrication of the eyes surface, even overnight. MECHANICAL STRESS Ophthalmic procedures and the wearing of contact lenses place mechanical stress on the eyes, which can cause irritation and damage the ocular surface. Vit-A-Vision® eye ointment supports the normal nighttime regeneration mechanisms of the ocular surface with dexpanthenol and vitamin A. Instructions for use: Step 1: Wash your hands thoroughly before using Vit-A-Vision®. To open for the first time, turn the screw cap counterclockwise until the safety seal breaks and remove the foil from the safety seal. Step 2: Hold the tube as vertically as possible with the opening pointing downwards above your eye. Please avoid any contact between the tip of the tube, your fingers, and your eye. Step 3: Now tilt your head back slightly (neck position) and gently pull down your lower eyelid with your free hand. Squeeze the tube gently and apply a strip of ointment approximately 0.5 cm long into the conjunctival sac of the affected eye. Close your eyes slowly and move your eyeballs in every direction so that Vit-A-Vision® spreads evenly across the surface of the eye. After use, replace the protective cap on the tube. Please be careful not to touch the tip of the tube. Avoid bending or rolling the tube to prevent damage. NOTE: For hygiene reasons, a single tube of Vit-A-Vision® should not be used by multiple people.
