The solution is hypotonic. How to use Turn the flap. Tilt your head back and place the tip of the container over the eye to be treated. Use your index finger to pull down your lower eyelid. Squeezing the container will easily release a drop of Vismed® (see illustrations). Unless otherwise prescribed, instill 1 or 2 drops of Vismed® into the eye as often as needed. When you blink, the solution will spread and form a long-lasting, transparent layer on the surface of the eye. Vismed® can also be used with contact lenses (hard or soft). warnings Do not touch the tip of the opened bottle or the surface of the eye with the tip of the opened bottle. If you do, the bottle should be discarded immediately after use. Since Vismed® does not contain preservatives, after application, discard any solution remaining in the container.
