Multiple infections have been observed in female dogs. Between 5-27% of dogs present with urinary tract infections throughout their lives, but females are particularly affected. Urinary tract infections are common in dogs and cats in systemic diseases that can compromise normal antimicrobial defenses. Dogs and cats with diabetes mellitus or hyperadrenocorticism (or both) develop urinary tract infections. An incidence of 18-39% has been reported in dogs receiving long-term glucocorticoids. Cranberry extract is a source of proanthocyanidins (the most beneficial plant flavonoids that support urinary tract health with antibacterial, antiviral and anti-inflammatory effects) with a role in inhibiting the adhesion of E. coli to the surface of uroepithelial cells. It has an antiseptic, prophylactic role without excluding antibiotic treatment that initiates antimicrobial prophylaxis. N-acetyl-D-glucosamine prevents the adhesion of bacteria and mineral crystals to the bladder mucosa, regulates the movement of urine proteins and other dissolved substances in the epithelium. Fish oil is a source of Omega 3 fatty acids: EPA – 18 mg, DHA - 12 mg, which help control high blood pressure, kidney disease, arthritis, autoimmune disorders and gastrointestinal disorders. The VetAria+ range meets the needs of small patients, providing support in the treatment of the main pathologies encountered in pets: arthrosis, arthritis, hyperphosphatemia, liver inflammation, urinary infections, dermatosis, dermatitis, gastrointestinal dysbiosis, contributing to strengthening the immune system and stimulating the synthesis of specific natural antibodies.
