INDICATIONS: Nutritional supplement for small dogs and cats that encourages optimal joint function. COMPOSITION: dextrose, glucosamine hydrochloride, MSM, chondroitin sulfate, hyaluronic acid, magnesium stearate. Glucosamine stimulates the synthesis of glycosaminoglycans (GAGs), which are components of the cartilage matrix. MSM (methylsulfonylmethane) is an organic sulfur compound (sulfur is needed to form connective tissue). MSM acts as an analgesic by reducing nerve impulses that transmit pain. Scientific studies have shown that there is an improvement in symptoms such as pain inflammation and swelling in patients using MSM in combination with glucosamine. Chondroitin sulfate and hyaluronic acid make articular cartilage more flexible and resistant to damage and stress. Hyaluronic acid is one of the main components of joint fluid, which has physical properties similar to rubber. This effect works in the joint - pressure on the joint removes water and thus reduces pressure. It also has a significant analgesic effect. Manganese sulfate - manganese is necessary for the synthesis of GAG and collagen and allows for the crosslinking and binding of collagen fibers.
