INDICATIONS: Nutritional supplement that combines the benefits of type II collagen, glucosamine, devils claw, quercetin and white willow to support joint health and function in dogs. COMPOSITION: dextrose, glucosamine, collagen (bovine, hydrolyzed) type II, MSM, alpha-lipoic acid, corn starch, hyaluronic acid, magnesium stearate. Glucosamine stimulates the synthesis of glycosaminoglycans (GAGs), which are components of the cartilage matrix. The body can absorb hydrolyzed collagen type II. It is highly bioactive and bioavailable. It can protect cartilage from degeneration from wear and tear. It lubricates cartilage, reduces inflammation in synovial fluid. White willow bark is a supplement made from the bark of the white willow tree (Salix alba). The active ingredient in white willow bark is salicin, which is similar to the active ingredient in aspirin. Therefore, it is most often used to treat pain and inflammation associated with arthritis. White willow does not cause stomach upset or liver damage, as aspirin can. MSM acts as an analgesic by reducing nerve impulses that transmit pain. Scientific studies have shown that there is an improvement in symptoms such as pain inflammation and swelling in patients who use MSM in combination with glucosamine. Quercetin is a phytonutrient, bioflavonoid that has anti-inflammatory, antioxidant, and antihistamine properties. Manganese is required for GAG and collagen synthesis and allows for the crosslinking and binding of collagen fibers. Hyaluronic acid is one of the main components of joint fluid, which has physical properties similar to rubber. The inverse viscosity of synovial fluid depends on its water content. Less water means higher viscosity. This effect works in the joint - pressure on the joint removes water and thus reduces pressure. INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE: 1 tablet per day up to 10 kg body weight or as recommended by your veterinarian. The bi-layer tablet works best when placed on the back of your pets tongue to make swallowing easier. If this is not possible, crush the tablet and mix it with food.
