It also prevents flea breeding for two months after application by inhibiting the hatching of eggs (ovicidal activity) and by inhibiting the emergence of adults from eggs laid by adult fleas (larvicidal activity). The veterinary medicinal product can be used as part of a treatment strategy for flea allergy dermatitis. Ticks: The veterinary medicinal product has acaricidal efficacy and persistent repellent effect against tick infestations (Rhipicephalus sanguineus and Ixodes ricinus for one month and for Dermacentor reticulates for up to three weeks). If ticks are present at the time of application, they may not die within the first 48 hours, but they may die within one week. It is recommended to use an appropriate device to remove ticks. SPECIAL PRECAUTIONS FOR USE IN ANIMALS For external use only. The safety of the veterinary medicinal product has not been established in puppies under 7 weeks of age or weighing less than 1.5 kg. Care should be taken to avoid contact of the veterinary medicinal product with the dogs eyes. After treatment, tick attachment cannot be excluded, therefore transmission of infectious diseases cannot be completely excluded if conditions are favourable. The product remains effective when dogs are introduced into water (bathing, swimming). Repeated weekly introduction into water for one month and starting within 48 hours of treatment as well as shampooing 2 weeks after treatment do not affect the efficacy of the product. However, in the case of frequent shampooing or bathing less than 48 hours after treatment, the duration of activity of the product may be reduced. Treated dogs should not enter surface waters for 48 hours after treatment to avoid adverse effects on aquatic organisms. GESTA AND LACTATION The safety of the veterinary medicinal product has not been established during pregnancy and lactation in bitches. The use of the product in pregnant or lactating bitches, or in dogs used for breeding, should be based on the benefit/risk ratio by the veterinarian. Laboratory studies with each component, dinotefuran, pyriproxyfen or permethrin in rats and rabbits did not produce any maternotoxic, teratogenic or fetotoxic effects. Dinotefuran has been observed to cross the blood-milk barrier and is excreted in milk. It has been shown that N-methylpyrrolidone, an excipient of the veterinary medicinal product, has a teratogenic effect on laboratory animals. incompatibility Do not mix with any other veterinary medicinal product and do not apply together with another veterinary medicinal product at the same time and in the same place.
