Product features: UrgoTül Lite Border Bandage 10 x 20 cm, 5 pieces Characteristics: UrgoTül Lite Border is a self-adhesive, absorbent lipidocolloid wound dressing developed on the basis of lipidocolloid technology (TLC = Technology Lipido Colloid), an exclusive and patented innovation of Laboratoires URGO. UrgoTül Lite Border consists of the following components: A non-adherent lipidocolloid matrix in direct contact with the wound. It consists of a polyester matrix impregnated with hydrocolloid particles (carboxymethylcellulose) and petrolatum. A thin, absorbent, non-sensitizing compress in the middle of the wound dressing. A white, protective polyurethane carrier coated with a highly skin-friendly adhesive. Upon contact with wound exudate, the hydrocolloid particles of the lipidocolloid matrix (TLC) take on a gel-like consistency and, together with the petrolatum, form a lipidocolloid interface between the wound and the dressing. This creates a moist wound environment that promotes the healing process. This results in the following specific properties: Maintaining a moist wound environment that is favorable for wound healing. Atraumatic removal to protect newly formed tissue structures. Painless dressing changes for the patient. Protection of the wound area due to the high skin compatibility of the adhesive. The absorbent dressing ensures drainage of small volumes of wound exudate, thus protecting the surrounding skin from maceration. The backing material is flexible and adaptable, conforming to the anatomical contours of the wound. Indications: UrgoTül Lite Border is suitable for the treatment of acute wounds (e.g. traumatic wounds, skin abrasions, postoperative wounds, burns, ...) and chronic wounds (e.g. lower leg ulcers, pressure ulcers) in the granulation and epithelialization phase. Contraindications: Known hypersensitivity to the wound dressing. Instructions for use: Wound preparation: Clean the wound according to the usual care protocol and rinse with sterile physiological saline solution. If the wound has been previously treated with an antiseptic, rinse the wound thoroughly with physiological saline solution before applying UrgoTül Lite Border. Applying the wound dressing: Peel off the protective films. Apply UrgoTül Lite Border to the wound so that the central compress is positioned on the wound. Dressing change: UrgoTül Lite Border should be changed every 2 to 4 days, depending on the amount of exudate and the clinical condition of the wound. UrgoTül Lite Border can remain on the wound for up to 5 days. Warnings and precautions: If clinical signs of a local infection are present, the treatment may be changed to an antibacterial wound dressing, depending on the assessment of the treating physician. UrgoTül Lite Border must not be used in a hyperbaric chamber. Sterile single packaging intended for single use only: reusing a single-use wound dressing may pose a risk of infection. Check the integrity of the sterile individual packaging before use. Do not use if it is damaged. Do not re-sterilize the wound dressing.
