Product features: UrgoStart Plus Border Wound dressing made of polyabsorbent fibers with microadherent TLC-NOSF wound healing matrix, highly absorbent nonwoven fabric and waterproof backing with silicone adhesive border Properties that contribute to wound healing: Reduction of healing time through the TLC-NOSF wound healing matrix. Use from the start of therapy until healing: Cleanses the wound of fibrinous deposits and neutralizes excess proteases in all phases of healing. Management of lightly bleeding wounds. Effective exudate management and protection against maceration. Features that improve wearing comfort and facilitate use: Can also be worn while showering. Highly adaptable and easy to reposition. Atraumatic and painless dressing change. Areas of application: In all phases of healing, from the cleansing phase to the healing of exuding chronic wounds such as lower leg ulcers, diabetic foot ulcers and pressure ulcers. Application: The compress of the wound dressing should cover the wound margin by at least 1 cm. Only the silicone adhesive edges of UrgoStart Plus Border can be cut with sterile scissors. UrgoStart Plus Border can also be used in combination with compression therapy (e.g. UrgoK2). If there are signs of a local infection, antimicrobial treatment, e.g. with UrgoClean Ag, is recommended before treatment with UrgoStart Plus Border. If using a cream, ointment or emulsion at the same time, allow the skin to dry thoroughly before applying the wound dressing. The dressing should be worn for 1-2 days during the cleansing phase; thereafter, the frequency of dressing changes should be adjusted to the volume of wound exudate and the clinical development of the wound. The maximum wearing time is 7 days. Contraindications: Do not use UrgoStart Plus Border on heavily bleeding wounds. Do not use UrgoStart Plus Border on tumor-induced wounds or fistula-like wounds that show deep pus formation (abscess). Do not use if you have a known hypersensitivity to UrgoStart Plus Border.
