UrgoClean Description Non-woven, absorbent and gelling dressing, made of poly-absorbent polyacrylate fibres that guarantee complete cleansing and debridement (of slough, fibrin and exudate) and a TLC colloidal lipid matrix that ensures painless and atraumatic dressing removal for the wound. Dressing composed entirely of poly-absorbent polyacrylate fibers, which act as cleansers and gelling agents, and a micro-adherent TLC matrix (TLC: Lipido-Colloidal Technology, composed of carboxymethylcellulose particles, lipid substances). The acrylic core present in the polyacrylate fibers allows for one-piece removal of the dressing. UrgoClean has the ability to cleanse and keep the wound clean. The TLC matrix forms a gel when it comes into contact with the wound, creating a moist environment conducive to healing. Simultaneously, upon contact with exudate, the polyabsorbent fibers gel, absorb the exudate, and bind to the fibrin and slough through an electrostatic interaction, facilitating its removal. UrgoClean absorbs fluids without maceration, protecting the periwound skin. Furthermore, the poly-absorbent fibers make the dressing highly cohesive, which together with the TLC matrix allow for painless, one-piece removal of the dressing that is atraumatic for the wound1. Its composition gives the dressing hemostatic properties. Indicated for the desloughing phase of chronic exuding lesions, acute lesions and cancerous lesions. How to use UrgoClean dressing Cleanse the wound using conventional care protocol, then rinse with normal saline. If an antiseptic is used first, rinse the wound thoroughly with saline before applying UrgoClean. The use of UrgoClean does not obviate the need for mechanical debridement, when required. Remove the protective tabs. Apply the micro-adherent side of UrgoClean in contact with the lesion and its irregular corners. UrgoClean can be cut using sterile scissors to fit the dressing to the wound if necessary. Cover UrgoClean with a secondary dressing appropriate to the location and exudate of the wound. If prescribed, apply compression therapy. UrgoClean can be changed every 1-2 days during desloughing and subsequently as necessary for up to 7 days depending on the volume of exudate and the clinical condition of the wound. UrgoClean Tape Dressing Cleanse the wound using conventional care protocol, then rinse with normal saline. If an antiseptic is used first, rinse the wound thoroughly with saline before applying UrgoClean tape. The use of UrgoClean tape dressing does not obviate the need for mechanical debridement, when required. Open the package. If necessary, use the probe to assess the depth of the lesion. Minimize the use of the probe in the wound and do not leave it in the wound. UrgoClean tape dressing can be cut using sterile scissors to adjust the length to the wound depth. For lightly exuding wounds, it may be necessary to moisten the dressing with saline solution. Check that the UrgoClean tape dressing is visible and easy to remove from the cavity. Cover the UrgoClean Tape Dressing with a secondary dressing appropriate to the location and exudate of the wound. UrgoClean tape can be changed every 1-2 days during desloughing and subsequently as necessary for up to 7 days depending on the volume of exudate and the clinical condition of the wound. Warnings - Do not use if you have a known sensitivity to UrgoClean. - Do not use UrgoClean as a surgical sponge for wounds that bleed heavily. - Do not use UrgoClean tape dressing in fistulas with a diameter smaller than that of the probe. - Do not use UrgoClean Tape Dressing on dry wounds. - Do not use UrgoClean tape dressing in the endonasal area in rhinosinusitis surgery. - Since it is non-absorbable, UrgoClean tape dressing should not be used as a surgical dressing. - The concomitant use of creams, lotions, oils or emulsions is not recommended. - Due to its non-occlusive nature, UrgoClean can be used on infected wounds under close medical supervision. - UrgoClean dressing should not be used in a hyperbaric chamber. - During the desloughing phase, the lesion may appear to enlarge due to the effective removal of devitalized tissue. This is due to the effective removal of slough. - Sterile individual packages, for single use only: reusing a single-use package may pose a risk of infection. - Do not resterilize the dressing. - Before use, make sure the sterile protective film is intact. Do not use if the packaging is damaged. - Disposable. Conservation Store at room temperature, away from sources of light and heat. Format TNT tape 5x40 cm. Cod. 506498
