Similar to the two main characters in the series, Seth and Julia, he spent much of his childhood playing and working at Waldameer. David taught English as a Second Language in Vietnam and in the United States, which inspired the inclusion of multicultural characters in the series. David currently lives in Richmond, Virginia, where he works as a middle school counselor.
