It is used as a primary wound dressing for moderately to heavily exuding, coated, or deep ulcers. The alginate forms a gel-like layer with the wound exudate, trapping germs and cellular debris and promoting autolytic wound cleansing. Indications: - Suitable for absorption and support of autolytic debridement in moderately to heavily exuding, deep wounds: leg ulcers of various origins, e.g., venous, arterial, mixed / pressure ulcers / diabetic foot syndrome / split-thickness skin graft donor sites / lacerations and abrasions / postoperative wounds / traumatic wounds / wound cavities - Wearing time up to 7 days Contraindications: on tendons, ligaments and bones Application: Apply the dressing to the wound surface or insert it into deep wounds. 3M Tegaderm Alginate can also be cut to the required size.
