Suprasorb F Protect Description Suprasorb F Protect film dressing is a protective film that protects the wound thanks to the composition of its materials. The thin polyurethane film, coated with adhesive, offers both mechanical protection against friction and protection against water and bacteria. At the same time, the film allows water vapor to be eliminated from the dressing. Suprasorb F Protect film dressing is indicated for securing primary dressings thanks to its adhesive strength. How to use Suprasorb F Protect film dressing is used to cover and protect superficial wounds, provided they are low in exudate. Furthermore, Suprasorb F Protect film dressing can be used for fixation in wound care. Suprasorb F Protect film dressing is also suitable for the supportive prophylaxis of skin areas at risk of bedsores. Suprasorb F Protect sterile film dressing is available in various sizes. Be sure to select an appropriate size based on your application. The adhesive film dressing should be applied so that it protrudes approximately 2 cm beyond the wound margin or the fixed primary dressing. Clean the wound/application site and pat the edges dry before applying the dressing. Suprasorb F Protect film dressing adheres optimally to dry skin. Before use, visually inspect the sterile barrier system for any package integrity defects (damage). Open the bag at the indicated point and remove the product. Turn Suprasor F Protect film dressing so that the printed side is facing you. Grasp the tabs between your index finger and thumb and separate them completely. Rotate the product 180° so that the adhesive side faces the patient or wound. Place the product in the center of the wound (the area to be fixed) and spread it gently (especially along the edges). Then take the tabs between your index finger and thumb again and pull them out together with the backing film. To remove the product as painlessly as possible, you can break the bond between the adhesive and the skin by pulling the plastic film tighter. The film dressing should be laid as parallel to the skin as possible. The change intervals of Suprasorb F Protect film dressing must be established by the treating medical specialist. The intervals depend on the patients individual skin condition and the results of basic medical evaluations. Soiled or poorly fitting dressings should be replaced. Components Polyethylene, polyurethane, polyacrylate, paper with polydimethylsiloxane coating, polyester with polyacrylate coating. Warnings Contraindicated in infected wounds and in cases of known allergy and/or hypersensitivity to one of the product components. In individual cases, skin irritation and/or allergies may occur. Do not use if package is damaged or accidentally opened. The product is used to cover and protect superficial wounds. If you experience signs of infection on the wound (severe redness, swelling, local development of intense heat, odor or pain) or if you are unsure about how to apply it, contact your doctor or pharmacist. Not suitable for use in negative pressure therapy. Conservation Shelf life when packaged intact: 60 months.
