MacroGard Biorigin beta-1,3/1,6 glucans are polysaccharides extracted from the cell wall of the yeast Saccharomyces cerevisiae using a special technique that allows them to be concentrated while maintaining their biological activity. Phosphatidic acid is the simplest membrane phospholipid and is also the essential intermediate for the synthesis of all other more specific phospholipids (phosphatidylcholine, phosphatidylserine, phosphatidylethanolamine, and phosphatidylinositol), key constituents of cell membranes.
