Comfeel Plus Description Comfeel Plus is a thin, flexible hydrocolloid dressing. It can be used for the treatment of chronic non-exuding to low-exuding wounds and acute superficial wounds in the final stages of healing. Comfeel Plus Transparent can be used for superficial burns, superficial partial-thickness burns, donor sites, post-operative wounds and skin abrasions. The dressing may remain in place for up to 7 days depending on the specific characteristics of the wound. The external semi-permeable film increases breathability based on the amount of exudate, but prevents water and bacteria from penetrating into the wound. In contact with wound exudate, the dressing forms a viscous gel that absorbs the exudate without adhering to the wound, creating the ideal moist environment for the healing process. Composition Comfeel Plus Transparent is composed of absorbent sodium carboxymethylcellulose (CMC) particles encapsulated in an elastic and adhesive mass.
