It has also been used for liver and gallbladder problems. This plant is also used as a weight loss supplement due to its diuretic properties. For use, it is recommended to prepare an infusion by putting 1 teaspoon of the plant in a cup, adding boiling water, leaving to infuse for 5 to 10 minutes and then straining. You can also make a decoction of the root or stems by boiling the plant for 2 to 5 minutes, letting it steep for 5 to 10 minutes, and then straining, using 1 teaspoon per cup.
