Product purpose The Sinocare iCan i3 CGM-RT has been approved under CE MDR by TUV Rheinland for the measurement of glucose in interstitial fluids for people with diabetes aged 2 years and older, with injection sites including the abdomen (age 2+) and the upper arm (age 13+). Product characteristics The device allows for long-term monitoring of blood glucose levels. The sensor lasts up to 15 days, reducing the frequency of its replacement. It does not require scanning, and blood glucose data is automatically sent to the device. Alerts on the device inform about significant changes in blood glucose values, and trend arrows indicate the speed and direction of changes. How to use a medical device Preparation Wash and dry your hands and the application area. Disinfect the skin with alcohol and wait for it to dry. Installing the sensor Keep the applicator safety cover closed until you place it on your skin. Choose a new application site (away from the waist, scars, tattoos, irritations and bones, at least 7 cm from the pump insertion site). Application and launch Apply the sensor according to the applicator instructions. Pair it with the transmitter and the CGM app on your smartphone (Bluetooth on, notifications active, distance <6 m). It is uncertain how various medical conditions and medications, common to many patients, may affect the proper functioning of the device. In such situations, the results obtained with the iCan i3 CGM may be unreliable. Notes and precautions The sensor can be worn while bathing and showering, but not in a jacuzzi. Swimming up to 2.5m for up to 2 hours is possible (IP28). Avoid contact with high temperatures and X-ray radiation (e.g. MRI, CT, airport screening).
