VETERINARY SCREENING TEST ScreenVe Panleukopenia Rapid panleukopenia test (feces or vomit) Description Lateral flow immunochromatographic assay for the qualitative detection of feline panleukopenia virus (FPV Ag) in cat feces or vomit. The test is based on the direct (or sandwich) method. During the test, the sample is applied to the well (S) of the test cassette. If FPV antigens are present in the sample, they react with the anti-FPV antibodies deposited on the gold particles in the test strip. The mixture then migrates up the chromatographic membrane by capillary action and reacts with the anti-FPV antibodies on the membrane in the test line region. If the sample contains feline panleukopenia virus, a colored line appears in the test line region, indicating a positive result. If the sample does not contain FPV antigen, no colored line appears in the test line region, indicating a negative result. As a procedural control, a colored line will always appear in the control line region, indicating that the correct volume of sample has been added and that membrane blotting has occurred. How to use Before performing the test, ensure that the cassette, specimen, reagent and/or controls are at room temperature (15-30°C). Remove the test cassette from the foil pouch and use it as soon as possible. Best results are obtained if the test is performed within at least one hour. Collect cat feces or vomit with the swab from the cats anus or on the ground. Insert the swab with the sample into the reagent tube provided. Mix to ensure sufficient sample is extracted. Place the test on a clean, flat surface. Holding the pipette vertically, transfer 3 drops of the extracted sample (approximately 120 mcL) into well (S) on the cassette, then start the timer. Read the result after 5 minutes. Do not interpret results after 10 minutes. Interpretation of results POSITIVE: Two lines appear, the control line (C) and the test line (T). The result should be interpreted as positive regardless of the color intensity of the test line (T). NEGATIVE: Only one line appears, the control line (C). The test line (T) does not appear. INVALID: The control line (C) does not appear. Regardless of whether the test line (T) appears or not, the result should be interpreted as invalid. warnings Do not use after the expiration date. Handle all specimens as if they contained infectious agents. Observe established microbiological precautions during testing and follow standard procedures for proper specimen disposal. Wear disposable gloves and safety glasses when handling samples. Humidity and ambient temperature can negatively affect the results. Do not remove the test cassette from its packaging until you are ready to use it. Do not reuse the test. Do not mix components from different batches and products. For in vitro diagnostic veterinary use only. All results should always be evaluated by the veterinarian, taking into account other available clinical data. Confirmatory methods, such as PCR testing, are recommended to confirm the results. Conservation Store in the sealed container at room temperature or in a refrigerator (2-30°C). Do not freeze. The test is stable until the expiration date printed on the sealed pouch. The test cassette should remain in the sealed pouch until use. Shelf life in intact packaging: 24 months. Format The kit contains: - 1 test; - 1 pipette; - 1 tube with extraction reagent; - 1 tampon; - the prospectus
