What is Prolivet?PROLIVET is a complementary food for medium-sized dogs that helps maintain liver function. Silibinin is the most abundant and active component of sili marine, an extract of the fruit of milk thistle (Silybum maria num). Active Ingredients Silibinin neutralizes free radicals, thus protecting liver cells against oxidative damage. It also inhibits the adhesion of toxins, as well as the production of leukotrienes, which are involved in the inflammatory response. Phosphatidylcholine, for its part, is the main precursor/metabolite of choline and the main constituent of lipoproteins in the bloodstream and cell membranes. It is also the main component of bile and plays a fundamental role in mitochondrial energy transformation and in the elimination of waste products from cellular metabolism.
