PRIMA Vitamin D Home Test Rapid self-test for the semi-quantitative detection of vitamin D in human whole blood Contents: 1 test VITAMIN D Vitamin D belongs to a group of fat-soluble secosteroids responsible for increasing the intestinal absorption of calcium, iron, magnesium, phosphate, and zinc. The vitamin D concentration in the blood is considered the best indicator of the vitamin D level in the body. Vitamin D deficiency is now recognized as a global epidemic. It is linked to several serious illnesses, including osteoporosis, osteomalacia, cardiovascular disease, pregnancy complications, diabetes, depression, autoimmune diseases, influenza, and infectious diseases. For this reason, testing vitamin D levels is now considered a medically necessary screening test. WHO IS THE TEST FOR? The VITAMIN D TEST is for people who are frequently exposed to a vitamin D deficiency, such as those who tire easily, have too little sun exposure, have limited oral absorption, or have impaired intestinal absorption. Maintaining adequate vitamin D levels is necessary to improve bone health, as well as overall health and well-being. The main symptoms of vitamin D deficiency are fatigue, muscle weakness, and bone and/or joint pain. TECHNICAL DATA The VITAMIN D TEST is an immunoassay based on the principle of competitive protein binding and can detect excess, sufficient, insufficient or deficiency of vitamin D in the blood. Measuring range 10-100 ng/ml Accuracy 94.4% CONTENTS - 1 test cassette - 1 dropper bottle containing the thinner - 2 sterile lancets - 1 pipette for blood collection - 1 antiseptic cleaning gauze - 1 comparison map - Instructions for use MISSION 1. Take a blood sample using the supplied sterile lancet; 2. Take the sample marked by the black line using the supplied capillary pipette; 3. Place the collected sample in the well (S) indicated on the cassette; 4. Add 2 drops of thinner and wait 10 minutes to read the result by comparing the lines obtained with the supplied chart. INTERPRETATION OF THE RESULTS Excessive (> 100 ng/mL): No obvious lines appear in the area of the test line (T). It is necessary to consult your doctor. Sufficient (30-100 ng/mL): The intensity of the test line (T) is equal to or less than the 30 ng/ml indicated on the Vitamin D color card. Insufficient (30-10 ng/mL): The intensity of the test line (T) is darker than the 30 ng/ml line and lighter than the 10 ng/ml line on the Vitamin D color card. Deficiency (0-10 ng/mL): The intensity of the test line (T) is equal to or darker than the 10 ng/ml line on the Vitamin D color card. It is necessary to consult your doctor. QUESTIONS & ANSWERS: What happens if the times for reading the results are not adhered to? The test was performed correctly if the instructions for use were followed, including the reading time and the interpretation of the results as specified in the INTERPRETATION OF RESULTS section of the instructions for use. How can you verify if the test worked correctly? A colored line appears in the control area (C) of the test device, indicating that the test was performed correctly. If this line is not present, the test should be repeated with a new device and a new sample. How should the test be interpreted if the control and test lines show different intensities? The color and intensity of the bands are not important for interpreting the result. The test is considered positive regardless of the intensity of the test line color (T).
