PRIMA Ovulation LH Home Test (made in Switzerland) Self-test for the detection of luteinizing hormone (LH) in urine Contents: 5 tests OVULATION AND LH Ovulation is the term for the process that normally occurs between the 12th and 16th day of a regular 28-day menstrual cycle. During this process, hormonal changes activate the ovary to release a fertilizable egg. The closer ovulation approaches, the more estrogen the body produces, triggering a sudden surge in another hormone called luteinizing hormone (LH), and the subsequent release of the mature egg, ready for fertilization. Ovulation typically occurs between 24 and 36 hours after the LH surge. For this reason, monitoring LH levels in urine is a good indicator for predicting when a woman is most fertile. WHO IS THE TEST FOR? An ovulation LH test is useful to maximize the chances of conception if you are planning a pregnancy. Identifying fertile days gives couples more flexibility in planning sexual intercourse according to their lifestyle and additional opportunities for conception, thereby reducing the pressure the couple might experience when trying to conceive. TECHNICAL DATA OVULATION LH TEST is a fast immunochromatographic device that detects LH hormone levels above 25 mIU/mL. Specificity 97.14% Sensitivity 100.0% Accuracy 98.11% CONTENTS - 5 spoon devices - Instructions for use MISSION 1. Remove the protective cap and hold the absorbent tip directly under the urine stream for at least 10 seconds; 2. Alternatively, immerse the absorbent tip in a clean and dry container for 10 seconds; 3. Replace the protective cap on the spoon device and wait 5 minutes to read the result. INTERPRETATION OF THE RESULTS Negative: The LH level in the urine is below the threshold, meaning the peak has not yet been reached. It is recommended to repeat the test daily. Positive: The concentration of the LH hormone is equal to or greater than 25 mIU/mL. Ovulation is nearing its peak and the chances of conception are higher. Questions & Answers: What happens if the times for reading the results are not adhered to? The test was performed correctly if the instructions for use were followed, including the reading time and the interpretation of the results as specified in the INTERPRETATION OF RESULTS section of the instructions for use. How can you verify if the test worked correctly? A colored line appears in the control area (C) of the test device, indicating that the test was performed correctly. If this line is not present, the test should be repeated with a new device and a new sample. How should the test be interpreted if the control and test lines show different intensities? The color and intensity of the bands are not important for interpreting the result. The test is considered positive regardless of the intensity of the test line color (T).
