pelvilen Dual Act Description Chronic pelvic pain associated with numerous pelvic disorders (endometriosis, interstitial cystitis, recurrent cystitis, chronic prostatitis, irritable bowel syndrome, etc.) is a dual-localized nosological entity resulting from neuroinflammation caused by non-neuronal cells (mast cells, microglia). Tissue localization, linked to peripheral sensitization of the sensory endings of nerves co-innervating different pelvic organs, determines the extent of diffuse inflammatory pain and associated oxidative stress. Spinal localization, linked to central sensitization arising from chronic peripheral neuroinflammatory disease, determines and sustains the extent of neuropathic pain, which amplifies the pain experienced by the patient. Pelvilen Dual Act effectively targets both components of pain (mixed pain) through a synergistic and synchronous regulatory effect exerted by palmitoylethanolamide in its two forms, micronized and ultra-micronized. The simultaneous presence of polydatin, a polyphenol with high antioxidant activity, helps control the oxidative stress associated with neuroinflammation in pelvic tissues.
