PediaSure Teen Balance® is a protein, vitamin and mineral dietary supplement specially formulated to meet the nutritional needs of adolescents aged 11 to 16. During adolescence, most children and adolescents experience a final growth spurt and require up to twice as many key nutrients as they did before puberty. It supplements their nutrition to support their growth and development. It contains iron to support attention and memory, as well as other vitamins, such as vitamin D, to help the immune system, and minerals, such as magnesium, to help them face the day with energy and reduce fatigue. 1. Iron contributes to normal cognitive development in children. 2. Magnesium helps to reduce tiredness and fatigue. 3. Essential fatty acids are necessary for normal growth and development in children. This beneficial effect is obtained with a daily intake of 2 g of alpha-linolenic acid (ALA) and 10 g of linoleic acid (LA). 4. Based on a comparison of EFSAs Recommended Dietary Allowances (RDAs) for the key growth nutrients: calcium, zinc, magnesium and phosphorus. Children aged 1-3 years compared to those aged 11-14 years. 5. Vitamin D contributes to the normal functioning of the immune system in children. 6. Based on a study conducted by Ipsos in August 2022, consisting of taste tests with 120 children aged 10 to 15, of whom over 92 appreciated the taste of PediaSure Teen Balance (powder format, vanilla and chocolate flavor). Composition To prepare a 225 ml serving, pour 190 ml of room temperature or cold water into a glass and gradually add 5 level scoops (approximately 49.1 g) of PediaSure Teen Balance powder. Serving = 49.1 g of powder in 190 ml of water to make 225 ml. Can be heated, but not above 35°C to maintain its nutritional properties. Pharmaceutical advice Storage Instructions: Store the container in a cool, dry place (not refrigerated) at room temperature. Once opened, the container should be resealed and used within 3 weeks. After mixing, PediaSure Teen Balance should be resealed, refrigerated, and used within 24 hours. Keep out of reach of children. Warning: Do not heat PediaSure Teen Balance in the microwave. Serious burns may occur. Excessive consumption may cause intestinal upset. Avoid taking with medications and other fiber-based dietary supplements.
