OTOFEN BORIC Description Medical device for otological use useful for specific hygiene of the ear cavity, as well as for the removal of excess earwax, thus reducing the risk of bacterial and fungal growth in the ear canal, which often causes irritation and inflammation. How to use Children 2 to 3 years: 1 spray 2 times a day. The product can be used in children from 6 months of age up to 2 years of age, according to the indications and advice of the doctor. Children from 3 years and adults: up to 6 sprays per day. 1. Remove the protective cap from the dispenser. 2. Rinse the dispenser before use. 3. Tilt your torso and rotate your head 45°, insert the nozzle of the dispenser into the entrance of your ear cavity and press one or more times until the desired amount comes out. 4. Pull the pinna up and back to straighten the external auditory canal (EAM). 5. Wait a few seconds for the solution to work, lift your head and wipe away any excess liquid. 6. Repeat the operation as needed. 7. Clean the dispenser. 8. Replace the protective cap on the dispenser. Components Aqua, glycerin, propylene glycol, lactic acid, boric acid, sodium docusate, sodium chloride, potassium sorbate, EDTA, sodium benzoate, Chamomilla recutita flower water, sodium hydroxide, polysorbate 20, sorbitan oleate. Side effects Known hypersensitivity to one or more components. Prolonged use may cause sensitization. If this occurs, discontinue use and consult your doctor to initiate appropriate therapy. It is important to report to your doctor or pharmacist the occurrence of side effects not described in this leaflet. Use of the same bottle by multiple people may result in the product becoming ineffective, the worsening of existing problems, and the manifestation of previously unexplained issues. Warnings Keep out of reach of children. Do not ingest. Do not use if you have a perforated eardrum or if you have any tympanic lesions, even if minor. Do not spray in the eyes. Do not use on broken skin. Do not use the product if the packaging is damaged. Do not use the product after the expiration date; the expiration date refers to the intact and properly stored product. In some cases, nebulization may cause a mild and transient sense of local irritation and/or dizziness. Do not administer the product to children under 6 months of age. The product should be administered to children under 2 years of age under medical supervision. Children under 1 year of age should be administered only if necessary and only if there are no less invasive alternative therapies and, in any case, the product should be administered under direct medical supervision. The product, by its nature, produces pressure in the ear cavity; do not administer to individuals with eardrum fragility. There are no adequate data on the use of the product in pregnant and/or breastfeeding women, therefore it should not be used unless really necessary and after evaluation by a doctor. Conservation Store the package tightly closed in a dry place, away from light and heat sources. Format Solution in 50 ml glass bottle with spray dispenser.
