Removal is comfortable and prevents trauma even with prolonged use. • White and skin-colored non-woven fabric support. The shape of the occluder adapts optimally to the anatomy of the periocular area. • Central pad made of a very thin trilaminate material inside which there is a black photo-absorbent screen which prevents light from filtering in from the outside. • Shape: The patchs shape is elongated in the area where it adheres to the nasal bridge, allowing for proper wear of glasses while wearing the occluder. The glasses are well-aligned, preventing blurry vision and discomfort for the patient. The elongated shape of the patch prevents lateral light filtering. This feature of ORTOPAD prevents abnormal movement of the ocular muscles, which can worsen the condition. The incisions in the area where the patch adheres to the nasal septum effectively prevent the formation of wrinkles on the patch, which could lead to premature detachment of the occluder and a reduction in comfort during orthoptic therapy.
