OMRON Description A digital monitor designed to measure blood pressure and pulse in adult patients. The device detects the presence of irregular heartbeats during the measurement and indicates this with a symbol along with the measurement result. warnings - Do not use the monitor on an injured arm or one undergoing medical treatment. - Do not apply the cuff to the arm while it is undergoing an intravenous infusion or blood transfusion. - Do not use the meter on infants, children or people who cannot express themselves. - Do not change your medication dosages (including changes in the use of any medication or treatment) based on the measurements obtained with this blood pressure monitor. Take your medications as prescribed by your doctor. ONLY doctors are qualified to diagnose high blood pressure and heart disease and prescribe related treatments. - If you experience any symptoms or problems, contact your doctor. - Do not postpone or interrupt routine check-ups or medical visits based on results obtained with this meter. - Do not use the monitor in areas where there is high frequency (HF) surgical equipment or magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) or computed tomography (CT) scanners. This may cause the monitor to malfunction and/or produce inaccurate results. - Do not use the measuring device in oxygen-rich environments or near flammable gases. - Consult your doctor before using the monitor if you have common arrhythmias, such as premature atrial or ventricular beats or atrial fibrillation, arteriosclerosis, poor perfusion, diabetes, pregnancy, preeclampsia, or kidney disease. NOTE: The presence of any of these pathologies, as well as patient movement, tremors, or shivering, may affect the measurement values. - To avoid strangulation hazard, keep the air hose and AC power cord away from infants and children. - This product contains small parts that may pose a choking hazard if swallowed by infants and children. - Do not disassemble or attempt to repair the meter or other components. This may result in inaccurate results. - Do not use the meter in humid environments or in places where it may be exposed to splashing water. This may damage it. - Do not use the meter in a moving vehicle, such as a car or airplane. - Do not drop or subject the multimeter to violent shocks or vibrations. - Do not use the measuring device in places with excessive or insufficient humidity or at excessively high or low temperatures. - During the measurement, observe your arm to ensure that the monitor does not cause prolonged problems with your blood circulation. - Do not use the monitor simultaneously with other medical electrical (ME) devices. This may cause the devices to malfunction and/or produce inaccurate results. - Avoid bathing, drinking alcoholic or caffeinated beverages, smoking, exercising, or eating for at least 30 minutes before taking a measurement. - Rest for at least 5 minutes before taking a measurement. - Remove any tight or thick clothing from your arm when taking a measurement. - Remain still and DO NOT talk while taking the measurement. - Use the cuff ONLY on people with an arm circumference within the specific range for which it is intended. - Make sure the meter has adjusted to room temperature before taking a measurement. Taking a measurement after a drastic change in temperature may result in inaccurate results. It is recommended to allow the meter to warm up or cool down for approximately 2 hours if it is to be used in an environment with a temperature that falls within the specified operating conditions after being stored at the maximum or minimum storage temperature. For more information on operating and storage/transport temperatures, see: - Do not use the meter after the operating period has expired. - Do not excessively bend the cuff or air tube. - Do not bend or twist the air tubing during measurement. This may cause injury due to interruption of blood flow. - To remove the air hose connector, pull on the plastic connector at the base of the hose, not the hose itself. - Use ONLY the AC adapter, cuff, batteries, and accessories specified for this monitor. Using incompatible AC adapters, cuffs, and batteries may damage and/or expose the monitor. - Use ONLY the cuff approved for this monitor. Using other cuffs may result in erroneous results.
