Product description We present to you our third model of our proprietary product, based on the experiences of users of previous versions of the Olmed Masks. Each version is designed for a different purpose – a preventive/protective mask for everyday use, a compromise between comfort and maximum fit (the tighter the fit, the higher the level of protection), or a sports mask adapted to more extreme activities thanks to a different fastening method. Our guiding principles when creating Olmed masks are safety, unique design, and ease of breathing. In this case, we focused primarily on COMFORT. Our goal was to combine our standard FFP2/KN95 filtration properties with the comfort of lightweight cotton masks. The well-thought-out and repeatedly tested design provides space inside the mask and facilitates air exchange, reducing harmful exhaled carbon dioxide. The charm lies in the simplicity of the fastening. In this case, we used very comfortable and adjustable elastic straps, conceptually modeled after the popular single-use KN95 masks, to find a compromise between a high level of facial fit and the highest possible comfort of use, quick donning, and, above all, a design that significantly distinguishes us from masks that look like all the others. The elastic bands, after many use tests, were selected in such a way that they do not cause discomfort. The mask is made of high-quality materials, and the entire production process, from the selection of materials through the production of filter inserts, to packaging and exhalation valves, takes place in Poland. To maintain maximum breathing comfort, the mask features two exhalation valves, allowing exhaled air (carbon dioxide) to escape. The valves are angled sideways to prevent air from being exhaled directly in front. A significant advantage of the valves is the significant reduction in humidity inside the mask, which significantly improves breathing comfort and extends filter life. Another key advantage of this design (the mask bowl) is the space between the filter and the mouth. This empty space reduces the uncomfortable feeling we often experience when wearing traditional masks that touch our face. Another distinctive feature of our mask is the use of breathable mesh, which doesnt create additional breathing resistance as is often the case with cotton or neoprene foam. To ensure high-quality filtration, the set was tested at the Institute of Materials Science, Textiles and Polymer Composites of the Lodz University of Technology, where its filtration capacity was determined to be FFP2/KN95 class. This translates to 94% efficiency for particles at least 0.3 microns in size. This class of materials allows for increased protection of the respiratory system and the entire body in situations of air pollution and during peak seasons. We recommend replacing the filter when: 12 hours of use have passed, the filter becomes wet, after strenuous physical activity, the filter emits an unpleasant odor, when ill, or during prolonged stays in places such as hospitals or clinics. Of course, this depends on the frequency and method of use, but its always important to remember that replaceable filters absorb a significant amount of contaminants and germs. For hygiene reasons, they should be replaced regularly. Please also use the protective case included in the kit to maintain the highest level of hygiene when the mask is not in use. Design and ergonomics The product design is the original concept of designer Angelika Józefczyk, created in four different color versions to allow everyone to express their style.
