They help prevent inflammation and bleeding gums, or treat gingivitis if present. This oral care product, in addition to soothing damaged gums, also protects and strengthens teeth, providing comprehensive protection for maintaining good oral health every day. Key ingredients in this Normodent toothpaste include xylitol, fluoride, and zinc. Xylitol is a natural sweetener that helps prevent cavities, reduces damage to tooth enamel caused by bacteria, inhibits the adhesion of bacteria that cause gingivitis and periodontitis, and increases saliva production. It also prevents demineralization of the outermost layer of the tooth. Fluoride performs three fundamental functions. First, it helps strengthen enamel. Second, it protects against bacterial attack and growth. Third, it remineralizes tooth enamel. As for zinc, it works synergistically with the other active ingredients in the formula to help prevent and reduce the formation of plaque and tartar. This mineral also helps to decrease bad breath, or halitosis. Who is it for? Normodent Gingivitis Toothpaste Pack 2 x 125 ml is indicated for maintaining good oral health and preventing or treating inflammation and bleeding of the gums. Suitable for people suffering from gingivitis or those at risk of developing it. Instructions for use Farmaciasdirect recommends adding approximately 1 cm of toothpaste to a soft-bristled toothbrush and brushing as usual, after meals, for at least 2 minutes.
