What is the air ventilation system (AVS)? The air ventilation system reduces the potential cause of colic caused by excess air. How often should I replace the NaturalWave® teat? We suggest you inspect the teat daily for wear and tear and recommend changing the teat every 7 weeks. If you notice that the silicone is broken or compromised in any way, throw it away. We also recommend that you do not leave the teat in direct sunlight, heat or in the sterilizer for longer than the recommended instructions, as this may damage the teat. Can I sterilize the Lansinoh® NaturalWave® bottle and teats in boiling water? The Lansinoh® NaturalWave® bottle and teats can be sterilized in boiling water for five minutes. Please take care that the parts placed in the water do not touch the base or walls of the vessel/pot you are sterilizing in - the parts may melt. When should I change my babys nipple size (flow)? When using Lansinohs NaturalWave® teats, there is no exact age at which you should change the teat flow for your baby, although we recommend S from 1 month, M from 3 months and L from 6 months. The best recommendation is to pay attention to your babys feeding habits. For example, if you notice that your baby sucks for a longer period of time, but still cant get milk out as quickly as before, then this is an indication that he needs a faster-flow teat. However, if you notice milk pouring down your babys throat during feeding, then this is an indication that he needs a slower flow teat.
