Description The Microlife BP A2 Basic is an automatic, upper arm blood pressure monitor that allows for accurate blood pressure and pulse measurement at home. It can be used by adults and adolescents over 12 years of age. The Microlife BP A2 Basic medical device uses the oscillometric method of measuring blood pressure and has been clinically validated (tested) in people with hypertension, hypotension, diabetes, pregnancy, preeclampsia, atherosclerosis, obesity, end-stage renal disease and in elderly patients. The Microlife automatic blood pressure monitor is easy to use and has a number of features that ensure comfort of use and measurement. This medical device features a conical cuff in a universal size (ML). Its unique shape allows for a better fit to the arm, directly contributing to greater accuracy of results. The product utilizes Gentle+ technology, which provides optimal control of the cuff speed and pressure, making the measurement more comfortable. The blood pressure monitor is equipped with technology to detect heart rate irregularities during measurement. If these occur, the IHB symbol appears on the screen. To make it easier to monitor blood pressure values, the device displays the date and time of measurement and classifies the results according to international guidelines (ESH, ESC, JSH). The hypertension classification indicator is located on the left side of the display and is symbolized by color: -green (optimal measurement value), -yellow (increased blood pressure), -orange (pressure too high), -red (pressure dangerously high). The device automatically stores the last 30 blood pressure readings. How to use Avoid excessive activity, eating and smoking before taking a measurement. Sit in a chair with a backrest and relax for 5 minutes. Your feet should be flat on the floor and your legs should not be crossed. Always measure on the same arm. Remove any clothing that may be constricting your arm. Dont roll up your sleeves—they can constrict your arm. Check that you are using the correct cuff circumference. Tighten the cuff on your arm 1-2 cm above the elbow. The artery marker on the cuff (3 cm strip) must be positioned over the artery on the inside of the arm (elbow joint). Support your arm during the measurement and make sure the cuff is at heart level. Press the ON/OFF button and the cuff will inflate automatically. Dont make any movements, dont talk, breathe normally. The pressure in the cuff will reach the appropriate level and begin to gradually decrease. A flashing heart symbol will appear during the measurement. The display will show the blood pressure reading (systolic and diastolic pressure) and heart rate. After the measurement is completed, remove the cuff and turn off the device (the device will turn off automatically after approximately 1 minute of inactivity).
