Mepilex Border Flex Lite Description Multi-layer absorbent dressing made from polyurethane foam, with a border, a soft Safetac silicone contact layer and a slotted structure with Flex Technology. 1) Highly breathable and liquid-impermeable polyurethane outer film. Provides a barrier to bacteria. The new dotted grid on the outer film allows you to track exudate distribution without removing the dressing. 2) A non-woven distribution layer with slits created using Flex Technology. It distributes exudate evenly across the entire surface to maximize fluid management. 3) Open-cell polyurethane absorbent foam layer for vertical absorption Instantly absorbs exudate and prevents its return, for protection of the periwound skin even under elastic compression. 4) Safetac soft silicone wound contact layer. The Safetac soft silicone technology used in Mölnlycke dressings minimizes patient pain and wound trauma, even in critical situations or when exudate begins to dry. - it adapts to the irregular surface of the skin to create a larger contact area, which allows for a better distribution of the force required for removal, preventing skin stripping; - leaves no residue either on the wound bed or on healthy skin; - seals the edges of the wound, preventing exudate from spreading to the periwound skin, minimising the risk of maceration; - does not adhere to moist surfaces, such as open wounds, but to the dry edges of the wound. Mepilex Border Flex Lite is suitable for the management of a wide range of non-exuding to moderately exuding wounds, such as: - pressure ulcers; - ulcers of the lower limbs; - post-operative injuries; - traumatic injuries, such as abrasions, blisters and skin lacerations; - can also be used to protect damaged and/or delicate skin. No interactions with other substances have been observed. In case of sensitization of the treated area or clinical signs of infection, consult your healthcare professional for appropriate therapy to combat the infection. Do not use together with oxidizing agents such as hypochlorite solutions or hydrogen peroxide. In case of infected wounds, use under medical supervision is recommended. The polyurethane foam used in this product may yellow when exposed to light, air, and/or heat. This change in color does not affect the products properties if used within the expiration date. Do not reuse. Reusing the product may compromise its effectiveness and cause cross-contamination. For external use.
