Mellin Polilat 1Description Mellin Polilat 1 is a food for special medical purposes for infants with cows milk protein allergy. Mellin Polilat 1 is based on extensively hydrolyzed whey proteins. It contains a proprietary blend of GOS/FOS (0.8 g/100 ml), LC-PUFA (long-chain polyunsaturated fatty acids), and nucleotides. Suitable from birth to six months. Boil the required amount of water and pour it into the bottle at a temperature of at least 70°C. To obtain a well-leveled measuring cup after filling it, remove the excess powder using a well-washed kitchen knife. Add level scoops of powder following the directions in the average feeding table. Close the bottle and shake to dissolve the powder. Cool the bottle by placing it under running water, so that the milk reaches a temperature of approximately 40°C. Before giving it to the infant, check the temperature on the wrist. Mellin Polilat 1 is reconstituted at 13.6% and is obtained by adding a level scoop of powder (approximately 4.5 g) to every 30 ml of water. The product is suitable for use as the sole source of nutrition in the first six months of life. The product should not be used parenterally. It is recommended to prepare the milk only at mealtime and to consume it within half an hour. Do not heat or boil the milk once prepared. Do not reuse any leftover milk. Use only the measuring spoon contained in the package. Important: Breast milk is the ideal food for infants and should be encouraged and used whenever possible. This product should not be used as a substitute for breast milk during the first six months of life and should be considered part of a varied diet. Weaning should only begin following the pediatricians instructions. Follow the directions carefully. Improper preparation and use could pose a health risk to the infant.
