Fast relief for sore throats: The LuxmedIQ Strep A rapid test for home use The LuxmedIQ Strep A test is an in-vitro diagnostic home test kit for the qualitative detection of group A streptococci in throat swabs. The test is suitable for self-testing and can help detect an infection early in cases of symptoms such as a sore throat. The test result is available within minutes. Application – How the LuxmedIQ Strep A rapid test works Wash your hands thoroughly. Allow the test to reach room temperature (15–30 °C) if it was previously refrigerated. Open the test packaging only immediately before use.Prepare the reagents – Add 4 drops of reagent 1 to the extraction tube. Then add 4 drops of reagent 2 and mix the solution by gently swirling.Taking a sample – Gently hold the tongue downwards using the tongue depressor. Take a swab from the back of the throat and tonsils with the sterile swab – ideally without touching the tongue or teeth.Sample processing – Insert the swab into the tube. Gently squeeze the tube 10–15 times while rotating the swab. Remove the swab, squeezing out the liquid. Then attach the nozzle to the tube.Perform the test – Place 3 drops of the solution into the sample well of the test cassette. Start a timer and read the result after 5 minutes, but no later than 10 minutes.Interpreting the result – A positive result is indicated by two colored lines appearing – one in the control area (C) and one in the test area (T). A negative result shows only one line in the control area (C). If no line appears in the control area, the result is invalid and the test must be repeated.Disposal – Place all used test materials in the provided waste bag and dispose of it via household waste.Note: Children under 18 years of age should be assisted or supervised by adults when using this product.
