Product features: Ligasano white sterile Ligasano white is a therapeutically effective PUR foam dressing with a wide range of applications: Wound cleansing Wound treatment Prevention The therapeutic benefit is essentially based on three physical principles: The rapidly decreasing pressure of Ligasano white reduces the pressure on the wound, promotes granulation and reduces the counter-pressure on the newly formed granulation tissue. The mechanical stimulus (i.e., the structure of the bandage is perceived by the tissue) promotes blood circulation and activates self-cleaning. Because only excess exudate is absorbed (controlled absorption, exudate management), Ligasano white does not dry out the wound. Depending on the thickness of the material, an intermittent negative pressure is created. Information on the application of Ligasano white: When? Provided the wound allows drainage, it can be treated directly with Ligasano white without any pretreatment. How? Completely fill the wound with Ligasano white. Ensure that there is contact throughout the entire wound, including the edges. Fill any pockets that may be present. Then cover the wound with another piece of Ligasano white, overlapping the wound edges by at least 1-2 cm. Finally, cover with a large sheet of Ligasano white to treat the surrounding area. Bandage thickness: Even on shallow wounds, the Ligasano white dressing must be at least 2 cm thick, measured from the wound base. For all other wounds, the dressing thickness must be correspondingly greater. As a rule of thumb: the larger the area surrounding the wound being treated, the better the effect. The dressing must always be breathable. Suitable options include fixation briefs, tubular bandages, or, ideally, Ligamed Fix. How often? Dressing change intervals: once daily to once every three days, but at the latest when the first exudate becomes visible on the outer surface of the Ligasano white dressing. For heavily exuding wounds during the cleansing phase, this may be necessary several times a day. What you must always keep in mind with all applications: The application must always be carried out by a doctor or by medically/nursingly trained personnel. What dosage forms are available? Ligasano white is available in various forms (e.g., sheets, operating table covers, compresses, wound dressings), in sterile or non-sterile versions depending on the application. If sterilization is performed on-site, please be aware of the potential risks, such as severe contamination. Please refer to the current product list for available formulations. How to store it: Ligasano white is highly flammable and sensitive to UV radiation. Therefore, protect it from open flames, embers, heat, UV radiation, and moisture/dampness. The original packaging provides limited protection against moisture and UV rays due to the UV filter film we use. Storage is only permitted in the original packaging. Ligasano white may develop a yellowish tint. This does not affect its quality.
