Lefax® extra liquid capsules – fast and reliable relief from bloating Lefax® Extra liquid capsules offer individually adjustable dosages and reliably relieve gas-related discomfort such as bloating, fullness, pain, cramps, and abdominal pressure. The small capsules are easy to swallow. Lefax® liquid capsules are suitable for adolescents aged 14 and over, as well as adults, pregnant women, breastfeeding mothers, and diabetics. Need quick relief from bloating? Try Lefax® extra liquid capsules. Is your stomach bloated and uncomfortable? The cause of this type of discomfort is too much air in the gastrointestinal tract. This excess air can develop for various reasons, such as: • Swallowing too much air when eating too quickly. • Indigestion or a high-protein/high-fiber diet can lead to increased gas production in the abdomen and thus to bloating. Food intolerances or irritable bowel syndrome (IBS) are also possible causes of a bloated stomach. This condition is particularly unpleasant when traveling or at work. Lefax® extra liquid capsules usually provide rapid relief, as the active ingredient simethicone releases the trapped air in the gastrointestinal tract. This effect is also used in medicine: Before certain abdominal imaging examinations or after surgery, the use of Lefax® is helpful to remove excess gas. For gas-related gastrointestinal discomfort, please observe the following dosage: • Adolescents aged 14 and over and adults: o Single dose: 1 to 2 soft capsules o Total daily dose: 6 soft capsules. If the liquid capsules are taken to prepare for imaging examinations, children aged six and over, adolescents, and adults should take: • 2 to 3 soft capsules the day before the examination and • 1 soft capsule on the morning of the examination. The liquid capsules can be taken with or after meals with sufficient water and swallowed whole. If necessary, they can also be taken before bedtime. Thanks to their small size, Lefax® extra liquid capsules are easy to swallow. No side effects have been observed in connection with this medical device to date. Taking too many capsules also does not lead to any known problems. If you forget to take a dose or have taken too many capsules, continue as directed or as agreed with your doctor. The duration of use depends on the course of the symptoms. Lefax® extra liquid capsules can be taken for extended periods if necessary. If symptoms persist, consult a doctor to determine the cause. The active ingredient in Lefax® extra liquid capsules Each soft capsule contains 125 milligrams of the active ingredient simethicone. It acts exclusively locally and is gentle on the stomach and intestines. Simethicone releases gas trapped in foam bubbles in the gastrointestinal tract.
