Lederfolat: In case of a folic acid deficiency The preparation prevents a deficiency or treats it if it cannot be corrected through diet. Anemia, neurological/psychiatric disorders, or mucosal changes should be avoided. Anemia can be distinguished from that caused by vitamin B12 deficiency by determining folic acid and cobalamin levels in blood plasma and red blood cells. Application: In acute cases: 5 (up to max. 15 mg) folic acid daily. For prevention: 0.16-1 mg folic acid daily.
