Castor oil is a proven, stimulating laxative of natural origin. It is taken for the short-term treatment of constipation. Application Unless otherwise prescribed by your doctor, adults and children over 10 years of age should take half to one whole tablespoon of refined castor oil (5–10 ml) as a single dose. The individually correct dosage is the smallest amount required to obtain a soft, formed stool. Refined castor oil should be taken in the morning on an empty stomach.
