Benefits/Characteristics Tocopherols are a group of fat-soluble chemical compounds of similar chemical structure (homologous compounds) with strong antioxidant properties. They have multiple physiological effects and their intake by the human body in small quantities through food is essential. Collectively, tocopherols are known as vitamin E and are found in vegetable oils and generally in foods of plant origin.
