Antioxidant food supplement Astaxanthin is one of the most powerful plant-based antioxidants and is part of the carotenoid category. It works synergistically with other carotenoids, such as zeaxanthin and lutein. The astaxanthin in the formulation is obtained from 100% natural sources, specifically from a green algae, Haematococcus pluvialis. The algae used in the preparation of the formula are cultivated in a climate-controlled environment. The cultivation process takes three months, mimicking the natural accumulation of astaxanthin and resulting in high-quality algae. Astaxanthin extraction is carried out using supercritical CO2 extraction technology, which is environmentally friendly and ensures the absence of chemical impurities in the final product. The astaxanthin produced is in the natural 3S form. Two capsules provide 8mg of natural and biologically active astaxanthin, a level comparable to that used in published clinical studies. It also contains 24mg of natural vitamin E, which contributes to the protection of cells from oxidative stress. Astaxanthin 8mg is manufactured in the UK to strict pharmaceutical GMP standards.
