Features and benefits The pen needles are available in 5 needle lengths and 3 needle gauges, including 0.23 mm (32G), 0.25 mm (31G), and 0.33 mm (29G) in various lengths from 4 mm to 12 mm. This allows the needle length to be selected individually according to the recommended injection technique. The correct combination of needle length and injection technique ensures a safe insulin injection. The included safety disposal box allows for easy and hygienic disposal of the disposable needles. Application and recommended needle lengths The Soft Fine Plus pen needles fit all common insulin pens such as AutoPen classic, BerliPen (areo, areo 2, 301, 302), DiaPen, HumaPen Memoir and Luxura, NovoPen 4 and NovoPen Junior, OptiPen Pro 1 and 2, Pendiq, YpsoPen, and all pre-filled pens. For children, adolescents, and adults, the recommended needle length depends on the insertion angle (perpendicular or oblique) and whether a skin pinch is formed. For short needles such as 4 mm, injections can often be administered perpendicularly without a skin pinch, while for needle lengths of 5 to 6 mm, a skin pinch may be recommended depending on the technique and body region. With longer needles up to 12 mm, oblique injections or injections with a skin pinch are more frequently used. Especially when injecting into the thigh and in slender individuals – including in the abdominal area – forming a skin fold can be helpful, even with short needles.
