Description Juniper Berry is a traditional herbal medicinal product in the form of an infusion, used as a supportive and mild diuretic. It contains 100% juniper berry (Juniperus communis L.). Composition 100 g of product contains 100 g of juniper fruit. Dosage Adults and children over 12 years of age: Pour 150 ml of boiling water over 1 teaspoon (approx. 2.5 g) of crushed juniper berries. Cover and steep for 10–15 minutes. Strain. Drink the freshly prepared infusion 1–2 times daily. Action The product has a mild diuretic effect, increasing the amount of urine excreted. Indications Supportively as a mild diuretic. Contraindications The drug should not be used in case of: pregnancy and breastfeeding; inflammation of the kidneys, intestines, appendix; stomach ulcer; post-operative conditions of the gastrointestinal tract and biliary tract; liver cirrhosis; children under 12 years of age. Side effects Long-term use or overdose may cause kidney damage. If adverse reactions occur, discontinue use and consult a doctor. Warnings and precautions Do not exceed the recommended doses. Higher doses may irritate the kidneys and cause inflammation. Use with caution in patients with diabetes. If symptoms worsen or persist, consult a doctor.
